1957 BMW Other 600 For Sale

This car came from southern Ohio, where it had been sitting in a barn, hidden behind years and years of junk.
The body is in overall good shape. The rocker panel on the passenger side has some punky areas, probably totalling around 3" square. No big holes or anything like that, one of the more solid I have seen. The floor is solid as is the battery box, although there is obviously surface rust. Rest of the body is free of large dents and crunches, although the rear engine door has been pushed in near the bottom. Car still wears it's original white paint from the 50's, along with the always awesome V8 badge lifted from some American Iron of the same era. Really a nice finishing touch...
This car appears to not have been taken apart too much over time, although it looks like it has been many years since it has run. The engine seems stuck, although I was told by the last owner that it turned over. The axles as well as some of the engine shrouding have been removed and are sitting on the floor, as can be seen in the pictures. The rest of the drive train is there and seems to be in decent shape, including the heater box, which nears $1000 for a new unit. The car has two brand new rear tires and the fronts seem newer. (Buy it now and I'll throw in 2 more new tires....)
The interior is in fairly nice shape and seems original, although for a restoration recovering would be neccesary. Dash seems overall good, as do the switches and other interior pieces. The front windshield has a crack, but the rest of the windows are present and in good shape. Windshields can be sourced from suppliers for a couple hundred dollars. All of the trim and gaskets appear original and ok, although most pieces could use renovation. Chrome will need replating.
This is a nice restoration candidate that is probably near 99% complete.
Has a Clear Michigan Title ready for the next buyer.
